Special Characteristics: 
Coat colour is usually white but pied sheep are common; hair coat is rather coarse; body size is medium (60-70 cm height); rather long legs; fat tail is variable in shape and length; generally similar to the Sabi except for its larger body size and fatter tail (Wilson, 1991).
Main Location: 
Found in Botswana, mainly along the eastern and southern boundaries; also found in Zimbabwe close to their common borders with Botswana. The climate is semi-arid to arid with a single, short, unreliable rainy season and up to 50 nights per year with temperatures below 0°C; the management systems are pastoral, agro-pastoral and ranching (Wilson, 1991).
